i need a better brain... and guys u can throw away those cable modems...

read e news yet? Spain has built a mega comp, second biggest in the world... capable of 40 trillion operations per second (you'll finish maths paper 1 (15 questions) in 0.000000005625 seconds... considering e operations to be read question, understand question, average 10 operations to get the answer, write answer, move on to nxt)... like e speed is not enough... the storage capacity is 128 terabytes... for those non-physics/computing students... 128 terabyte = 128,000 gigabyte = 128,000,000 megabyte = 128,000,000,000 kilobyte = 128,000,000,000,000 byte = 1,024,000,000,000,000 bits (computing students correct me if i'm wrong here... kinda forgot alr =D) 1 byte = 1 character (be it a, b, 1, 2, @, #, *, wadeva)(am i right here also computing students???) in short for those who are non maths... 128 X 10^12 = A LOT...

considering that the human brain can do anywhere from 2 to 20 million billion ( maths again... 10^6 X 10 ^9 = 10^15) calculations per second... 40 trillion (maths again... 10^12) wld be a very good comparison... becuz we dun usually reach 20X10^15 anywayz... in fact it's a very high estimate of a human brain...

as for storage wise... from e source i obtain all these info from... e latest estimate (as e article seems to suggest) is 4X10^8 bytes... which is, u know is, 10 thousand times less than tat of tat stupid chunk (not chunk... massive chunk) of metal put together...

i still wan a better brain... sorrie mother nature... =P

btw e source is here

oh a side note i found smth more interesting... read this it's abt man and cable modems =D
